Elections CA 2023

Election over

You can find all the candidates by group here. Would you like to ask a candidate a question? Join this Telegram group dedicated to the campaign.

Voters must meet the following 2 criteria:

  • have paid their membership fees by 8 June 2023
  • at the latest belong to one of the following groups: green belts, blue belts, French Coordinators, Country Coordinators, etc.

Voting will take place via the Balotilo platform. Those eligible to vote will receive an email from the platform on 09/06/2023 with an anonymised link to vote.

If you belong to 2 different groups, 2 emails will be sent for each vote. Do you meet the criteria but have not received the voting information (don’t forget spam!)? Contact us at elections2023@fresqueduclimat.org so that we can look into your situation.

Each voter choses a ranking for the candidates (minimum: 1 ranked candidate; maximum: all candidates).

The votes are counted on Monday 19 June.

The elected candidates are declared in this order:

  1. Blue belts: the highest-ranked candidate is declared elected. This increments the parity counters.
  2. Green belts: the first woman and the first man in the ranking are declared elected.
  3. Coordinators: candidates already elected in the Green Belt and Blue Belt colleges are excluded.
    a. The highest-ranked candidate is declared elected.
    b. The two highest-ranked candidates meeting the parity criteria are declared elected.

In the event of a tie, the candidate with the greatest known commitment will be selected (based on the number of workshops run, training courses run and co-optations carried out).

Green belt

Claire Douchy

Claire Douchy, a green belt for the last 6 months and an internal facilitator in the Société Générale Group where I hold the position of CSR Manager for the wealth management branch. As someone who likes to pass on information, is attracted by participative teaching methods and is concerned by the social issues we face, I was an immediate fan of Climate Fresk and became a facilitator at the very start of the roll-out within the Group, then one of the 3 trainers at Group level.

My career has brought me into contact with organisations and business leaders, and I’ve already had experience on the board of directors of a company involved in the ecological transition and on the board of a foundation.

I am certified in the “board objectives” module at EM Lyon.

I have a master’s degree in finance and I’m an expert in sustainable finance.

For me, passing on knowledge is a key lever for action that I apply in my various areas of life: at work (training employees in my area of expertise), in my circle of friends and family: I am the mother of 3 engineering boys.

I also contribute to the ‘society and environment’ articles that we send to our customers. I come from the Haute Savoie region and I love the mountains, where I’ve recently started hiking and trail running. I give some of my free time to the association by painting murals or helping people to pass the green belt milestones on a voluntary basis. I’ve also been volunteering with SOS Amitiés as a listener for over 2 years.

In the video, you’ll discover the 3 skills I’d like to put to good use on the board of the Climate Fresco association.

Laurent Gasquet

Hello everyone,

In 2018, I did a Fresque led by Cedric Ringenbach, read and heard JM Jancovi, D&D Meadows, P. Servigne, J. Diamond, P. Bihouix etc. I was literally swept off my feet. I took part in the creation of the association and in the magnificent pioneering phase in 2019, with in particular the develo Climate Education Kick Offs – “Rentrées Climat” (X, Campus L. de Vinci).

My growing awareness has also led to a rather disruptive career change: from the beginning of 2020, after a career in several large international groups, notably as sales director and HR director, I took over a landscaping company in IdF, with 65 gardeners who develop and maintain green spaces in urban areas. I love my new job, in the front line of climate and biodiversity issues.

All the employees did the Fresk and helped to write the company’s low-carbon path (a carbon assessment was produced in 2022).

After graduating from an engineering and business school, I spent 2 years in Syria (long before the war) as a national service volunteer. I also lived in Italy for several years. Now a green belt, I don’t intend to become a professional fresker, as I’m fully committed to running my business.

Cindy Gilet

I live in the countryside near Poitiers and there’s nothing I love more than hearing the birds sing all day long.

Like many people, I started reading up on global warming, and the more I read, the more frightened I became and the more I thought we were all doomed… So I decided to quit my job in the commercial sector to devote the rest of my life to the only thing that really matters: fighting global warming! 🌍

I’m a green belt and the Vienne referent for the Fresque du Climat. I run the Planetary Boundery Fresco, the Biodiversity Fresco, 2 Tonns, MyCo2 and ‘Horizons Décarbonés’. I’m also Bilan Carbone and Act method certified, so I can continue to take action after raising awareness.

My passion is astronomy, which makes you realise just how small and fragile the Earth is in this immense universe, and how lucky we are that life has developed here. I love passionate people, strawberries (in season, local and organic of course) and sharing.

I don’t like the noise of cars, green beans (just because you’re a vegetarian doesn’t mean you have to like all vegetables :D) or grumpy people.

Benjamin Coutière

I apply for a seat on the Board of Directors of Climate Fresk to further contribute to its development in France and abroad.

Along with its expansion, I would ensure that we preserve the dynamics and spirit of Climate Fresk while maintaining a framework that is reassuring, reliable and motivating for participants and facilitators alike.

After 15 years as a sales director in several major IT groups, I decided to leave Google at the beginning of 2020 to support the ecological, social and economic transitions in organisations. That’s when I discovered Climate Fresk and progressed along the path to becoming a trainer, while also participating to the first Climate Mandates and co-organising the crowdfunding that raised €127K in the summer of 2021 to finance the international expansion.

As a Pro Trainer, I have organised over 100 workshops for large and small companies, both on my own and as coordinator for events involving up to 200 participants. At the same time, I regularly run citizen workshops near Annecy where I live.

I propose to bring my professional experience to the Board as an international sales manager as well as my as a seasoned Fresqueur in multiple contexts. I’d be delighted to be able to play a new role and help develop Climate Fresk further on a different scale. Thank you in advance for your support if you think I could make a useful contribution!

“But that’s exactly what we need!”

That’s what I thought when I discovered Climate Fresk in March 2018. After years of environmental commitment, I had finally found a way to talk simply but effectively about climate issues. For me, that moment was a real turning point in my activist life.

So, quite naturally, it was with two sets of cards in my suitcase that I left to teach history and geography in Alexandria, Egypt, for two years. From workshop to workshop, I became a Country Coordinator in Egypt and then a Trainer in November 2019.

During the first COVID confinement, I took part in the ‘Fresque confinée’ (Confined Fresk) and worked on the Training Working Group to create, among other things, the Trainers’ handbook, the Facilitator’s Cheat Sheet and the Training Materials.

In September 2020, I joined the association’s permanent team to coordinate the international development and work on structural projects such as the Fresker’s Journey.

In 2021, I co-coordinated the expedition of 167 freskers to COP26, then left my position in March 2022 to devote myself to local projects in and around the ecovillage where I’ve been living for the last two years, in the countryside of central Brittany.

Today, I’m a volunteer Fresker and a Pro from time to time.

If I’m applying to the Board, it’s in the hope that I’ll be able to bring the diversity of my experience as a Fresker to the table (volunteering, professional, former member of the permanent team) and continue to contribute my energy and ideas to the development of the project.

For me, Climate Fresk is more than just a tool. It’s a gamble, a collective adventure, friends, emotion, hope… that’s why I want to get involved so that this project, which I’m convinced has played a major role in accelerating awareness over the last 5 years, continues to grow, improve and take part in addressing one of the greatest challenges in the history of humanity.

Clément Chevalier

A human being committed to the ecological transition by raising awareness (Avenir Climatique & Climate Fresk) and accelerating the emergence of new narratives (La Fresque des Nouveaux Récits). As a native of Limousin and very attached to this region, I am convinced of the major role of rural areas in the success of a transition that is fair and acceptable to all.

I’m a climate strategy consultant, providing day-to-day support to local authorities and organisations as they build their low-carbon future. Since 2019, I’ve been devoting the rest of my time to raising awareness, particularly by training future factilitators!

My guilty pleasure? Experiencing low-carbon weekends with friends 🙂

Elodie Binois

With Climate Fresk, a story that’s been going on since 2020 and beyond!

My discovery of Climate Fresk in 2020 was the major trigger for my unconditional commitment today. I was fresked and then trained, and immediately became co-coordinator in Spain, where I had been living for 7 years.
Driven by a strong desire to take action and mobilise people, from 2020 to 2022, I structured the local deployment of many aspects (process, mobilising communities, Pro, Rentrée Climat etc.) while at the same time developing the Team for the Planet community in Spain.

In 2021, I returned to France after a stint at the Transition Campus. As a nomad for a year and a half, I took the Fresk to the four corners of France, drawing inspiration from a wide range of rural initiatives, deconstructing my relationship with work (experimenting with new jobs, volunteering 80% of the time, freelancing, etc.) and striving to embody sobriety in every detail.

Faced with the urgency of the situation, I decided to devote all my energy to where I felt it would have the greatest impact: businesses and higher education.
– As co-founder and president of Ambitions Transitions and co-founder of SKEMA Alumni Transitions, I campaign for a profound transformation of higher education and our relationship with work.
– As a green belt facilitator and trainer, I regularly work in companies with executive committees, boards of directors and employees. I’m convinced that raising awareness also means embodying the transition with sincerity and passion, and I put all my energy into transmitting this during my talks.

I have a degree in entrepreneurship, I’m the president of an association, I’m a Swiss Army knife with multiple functions, I have an international outlook, I used to be a project manager in marketing and communication and an eco-innovation consultant. I’d be delighted to continue my adventure with Climate Fresk by contributing my skills, my green belt experience and my experience in the field as an international consultant.

I’ve been based in Paris since January 2023. Flexible, passionate and (very) committed, I will be available to contribute to the growth of Climate Fresk both in France and internationally within companies and higher education institutions.

Blue belts

Renaud Bonnel

I trained as a building engineer and worked for 15 years in the construction and renovation of buildings, managing an SME with 150 employees.

In 2012, I discovered Jean Marc Jancovici’s lectures, and that was the first turning point. The rest came later, before I made a complete change of direction in 2018.

In 2019, I followed the work of the Citizens’ Climate Convention, and at that time I discovered the Climate Fresk workshop.

And that was a revelation for me: rather than giving lectures, I threw myself wholeheartedly into leading workshops and investing in the Climate Fresk network.

After a wigged and banana-clad confinement that enabled me to get my green belt approved, I set myself the challenge of becoming an instructor to help my peers progress too.
I became the local coordinator in Angers, as local roots are very important to me. I also took advantage of this forced break to launch and co-create the Construction fresco.

My aim now is to continue to help this great association grow even more, by getting involved on the board of directors for the next two years. I know that the challenges are considerable and the task is difficult, but I want to make a full contribution.

I’m enthusiastic by nature, and someone who can bring a group together and calm things down. Sometimes whimsical, even offbeat, I enjoy doing important things without taking myself too seriously. What’s important to me is to make progress as a team.

We have a duty to be optimistic, I’m convinced that it will help us to take action. The more optimistic I am, the more I act and … The more I act, the more optimistic I am.

I want to continue to take action as a member of the Climate Fresk Board of Directors and I thank you for reading this.

See you soon, Freskers

Amandine Pittaluga

After 20 years in dental prosthetics, I discovered the FDC at the beginning of 2020. It was a real wake-up call for me and, at the end of the same year, it prompted me to switch to a profession that gave me a sense of purpose. My career path is a far cry from the usual ‘5+ degree from a top school’ profile. Although at first sight this is a disadvantage, requiring me to work harder to bring myself up to speed on certain subjects, it is also an asset. Indeed, with my candidacy for the Board of Directors, I hope to bring another point of view, one that is closer to the grassroots and also tinged with a certain form of simplicity.

Of the association’s four values, the climate emergency was the trigger for my change of direction. However, care and transparency are the ones that have led me to become increasingly involved. In my view, they are essential to the construction of a sound project. I feel it is necessary to defend these values in an association that is partly based on voluntary work and where feelings of frustration or injustice can easily emerge. They enable everyone to rethink what already exists and contribute to the association’s development. This is particularly important when it comes to financial issues such as the procedure for allocating incoming requests or the association’s fees.

Moreover, as a committed member of the Alsace community, I remain close and connected to my community, where I have to deal with day-to-day problems. As one of the first to become fully involved, I’ve played a major role in developing the local community. This has enabled me to make a lot of contacts both locally and nationally for my own skills development.
As my path though the different belt levels went hand in hand with the growth of the association, I was also able to follow the scaling-up problems that were specific to the blue belts but also to other levels (lack of correlation between professionals and volunteers, loss of quality in the transmission of knowledge despite the gt on the subject, etc.).

Although my application would probably have been more relevant in the college of coordinators, it’s still these values and these messages that I want to convey.
Finally, on a more personal note, joining the Board would also be for me the continuation of a commitment to the life of the association for which I am ready to invest myself further.

Martim Grange

Martim Grange, who has a degree in physics from Grenoble University, is passionate about energy and climate issues. His career has been marked by his commitment to personal and professional development as a board member of AIESEC France, an NGO focusing on these areas.

To deepen his knowledge and become a real player in the transition, Martim continued his studies by obtaining a master’s degree in innovation management in Grenoble, on a sandwich course at CEA Leti. His work at this research centre focused on prospective studies, where he helped to design scenarios for sustainable energy systems.

With his passion for passing on knowledge, Martim also spent time giving private lessons in mathematics and physics during his studies. This experience has given him great satisfaction in sharing knowledge in an accessible and digestible way.

Martim’s journey at Climate Fresk began as a student, but he is now an Instructor. He was one of the Freskers who travelled from southern Europe using low-carbon transport to be present in the ‘blue zone’ at COP26. His involvement with the Shifters, a community involved in the energy transition, strengthened his determination to take action for a sustainable future.

At the same time, Martim has been involved in consultancy activities aimed at decarbonising a major financial player in Portugal. He is also helping to draw up the decarbonisation plan for Leroy Merlin in Portugal.

By combining his training in physics, his expertise in innovation management and his involvement in concrete decarbonisation initiatives, Martim Grange has established himself as a player in the transition. His aim is to share his knowledge and inspire others to take concrete steps to preserve our planet and build a more sustainable future.

Françoise Orand

Hello, my name is Françoise, and I’m a slasher: a Climate Fresker, a multi-fresker and an intrapreneur.

I’m committed to raising awareness of climate issues and planetary boundaries, exploring and implementing solutions for a new society, creating links between stakeholders and helping them to take action.
For me, Climate Fresk is the way to achieve this. It’s part of my toolbox for raising awareness in my personal and professional life.

One question I’m asking myself at the moment is: Climate Fresk and then what? Have you ever wondered about the aftermath of Climate Fresk?
Why? Because knowledge is evolving. Good news!
Participants’ knowledge is evolving, and that’s what I observed during my last workshops.
How can we support this change, and what can we learn from it?
So why don’t we talk about what happens post-fresk?
See you soon!

Laetitia Vialle

Hello, my name is Laetitia. I work full time on the international deployment of Climate Fresk as an employee of a large company. I have a strong sense of urgency and need to contribute at the international level to the changes needed to preserve life. I’d like to put my knowledge and skills to good use in developing the association by joining the Board as a Blue Belt. I’d be delighted to put myself at the service of this great community. Laetitia

Passionate about transition issues, I run a number of awareness-raising workshops (climate, biodiv, 2T, INVBC, etc.). I’m now actively involved in taking the Shift PTEF format to a local level, in the Limousin region, in an association called Transitions Limousines.

With an engineering background and a doctorate in physics, I’m a great believer in cross-disciplinarity, looking to the social sciences for the triggers for action. I also believe in using the arts to reach out to new audiences. I’ve seen a wide range of dynamics across the region with the Fresk, and I hope to come up with some ‘recipes’ for dissemination in sparsely populated areas.

In October 2019 I took part in a Climate Fresk workshop and it changed the trajectory of my life! Since that moment, I’ve been passionate about sharing this workshop and contributing to the growth of the Fresker’s community that gives me so much. I’ve been a facilitator and co-coordinator for the United States for 3 years. I’m a green belt. I contribute to the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion working group (example: version 8.4 of the cards). I went to COP26 and COP27 as a Climate Fresk representative.

Outside of Climate Fresk, I am very active in the community of Friend Frescos, as I facilitate several of them and I am the co-creator and pedagogy designer of the Textile one (Textiles UnTangled). I have previous experience of working with associations in the cultural (dance) and conservation (oceans) sectors. I’m currently one of the active members helping to structure, govern and scale up the Green Donut association (Textiles UnTangled  and Waste Fresco).

I have a degree in IT and 12 years’ experience in innovation and digital technology (from start-ups to multinationals). I’m an experienced coach and facilitator of organisational transformations (scaling up, agile, lean, 3.0 management, and product and service design).

For the past 3 years I’ve been working as a Pro Fresker, an ecosystemic coach and facilitator helping companies find their inner drive and self-transform. My mission: facilitate change for a more just, resilient and joyful world.

Finally, I was born in the United States, but I’ve been living in Paris for over 10 years, and I’m now a naturalised French citizen. Coco-Rican!

Ben Bertaux

Trained as an energy engeneer and working at the UN in Vienna for 3 years. Fresker since November 2019, first in Grenoble and then in Austria where I helped launch the business initially, and became co-coordinator in Austria thereafter in early 2022. I’ve been a green belt for 9 months, so I was able to discover the joy of training freskers on this occasion 🙂

Passionate about the international scene, first during my studies with an internship in Bristol, then a master’s degree in Stockholm, I continued the adventure with an internship and then a consultancy contract at the UN in Vienna. I’m passionate about food, but above all I’m passionate about mountains and all the sports they have to offer: ski touring and freestyle skiing, hiking, cycling, climbing and mountaineering. PM me if you’re in the Alps and fancy a little getaway!

I’m highly motivated to become the link between the college of international coordinators and the Board of Directors. I have almost 2 years’ experience of deploying Climate Fresk in Austria, love the international scene, and was lucky enough to be part of the Climate Fresk delegation at COP26 in Glasgow; enough to bring up all our concerns as coordinators with full knowledge of the facts. Here’s to your votes ✌

Antoine Bonel

Dear community!

My name is Antoine Bonel, originally from Alsace and living in Stockholm (Sweden!) since early 2017.

My interests in the natural sciences and then in technology led me to work as an engineer/researcher in the field of wave energy, in the “land of Greta”. I’ve been working there part-time ever since.

Technology, while exciting and often relevant, reaches its limits when the urgency of environmental and societal issues catches up with us.
As the Climate Fresk community illustrates, taking the ‘human factor’ into account gives us a new way of looking at the world, and unlocks new tools for transformation!

I joined Climate Fresk at the end of 2020 and haven’t looked back since. I was quickly onboarded as co-coordinator for Sweden in mid-2021, and I’m now a green belt and doing my best to train and mobilise more freskers internationally.

I’ve been very inspired by the community at different meetings and events, multiple online workshops but also physically in France and Sweden. I’ve seen the Fresks work their magic in education, businesses and local authorities of all ages and backgrounds.

I also took part in other workshops and joined the Biodiversity Fresk, to diversify approaches, and because I believe in the synergies between these associations, particularly to consolidate commitments over the long term.

These years as coordinator have also given me the opportunity to experience and learn about the reality of international groups, which are torn between local autonomy and support from our valued permanent members.

Far from the country of origin, the reputation of our workshops has to be built from scratch, and isolated members don’t always benefit from the same dynamics as in France. It’s up to the coordinators to develop and maintain the spirit of these groups over the long term, which is an arduous task for a majority of volunteers who are not specialised in communications.

I think I can humbly bring these international perspectives to the governance of the association, as well as acting as a bridge between the association’s roots and its more distant branches 🙂

Nicolas de Quatrebarbes (not eligible*)

*We regret that we are unable to accept Nicolas’ candidacy, as he did not meet the criteria of an up-to-date membership as of June 8 at 12:00 pm. Votes for Nicolas will not be taken into account.

What drives me today? I want to have an impact on the changeover of our societies, to live coherently and to help raise awareness among as many people as possible.

After more than 24 years living abroad, including 20 in Germany, I moved back to France 5 years ago. For the last 3 years I’ve lived mainly in the countryside in the north of Maine et Loire.

As the father of 3 children, 2 of whom still live in Munich, and having a professional activity on the other side of the Rhine, I still often go to Germany.

In my professional life, which began in Martinique and continued in Germany, I’ve always been influenced in my choices by the people I met, the project I was offered, the share and autonomy I could have (essential) and the cultural roots of the company (rum, Swiss watches, French shoes, etc.). This led me to evolve in different worlds.

Living abroad has always been a strong desire of mine, and I was clear about this need and desire long before I decided on my career path. I enjoyed helping to build cultural bridges.

Today my life is very different, I’ve found my roots in the countryside on the banks of the Mayenne, and I’ve been learning about permaculture, agroecology and agroforestry for several years now. Bread is one of my passions and I’ve already done a number of work placements with local bakers.

The fresk came to me over 4 years ago when the association Résistance Climatique was set up! I trained straight away, passed the stages to become a blue belt and very quickly I had the chance to get involved in Germany where I am still co-coordinator with Bénédicte.

In addition to my professional Fresk activity, I’m also part-time CSR Director for a local company and carry out a few carbon-related missions.
Finding coherence between my professional and personal lives is essential for me, and not always easy of course…

Why the Board of Directors? After 4 years, I want to get involved in the association in a different way: I like its internationalisation project and I’d like to be able to support Climate Fresk by putting to good use the experience of a life spent beyond French borders for more than 24 years.

Climate Collage is now Climate Fresk!

We are still the same! We just changed our name ;)
